Utah's Five National Parks in 5 Days

Overview

This is the perfect chance to see all of Utah’s amazing national parks. We depart the first day from Las Vegas and head to Zion National Park. Zion is home to the world famous Virgin River Canyon and Zion Narrows. We have time for an afternoon hike to the canyon overlook which is sheer drop of nearly 2000 feet to the river below. The second day and a short drive bring us to the fantastic rock formations of Bryce Canyon National Park. We have a chance to explore the best view points and walk among the forested hoodos, narrows and pinnacles. Our third days drive from Bryce to Capital Reef National Park on scenic Highway 12 takes across some amazing slickrock country.Highway 12 is often voted one of the top 10 scenic drives in the world as it threads narrowly across ridges with cliffs on either side. Capital Reef is one of the most beautiful of Utah’s park but least visited. We camp in the orchards below the famous rock formation after a hike up to Cohab canyon where the polygamist hid their wives over 100 years ago. The forth day we start out driving across the over turned rocks of the San Rafael Swell before reaching Arches National Park where we hike to Delicate Arch to enjoy the sunset before retiring in Moab for dinner and overnight. Our final day takes to Canyonlands National Park and the overlook of the Colorado River before we head back to Vegas for the final night and then end of the trip.
